Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc (NS)/ DNS/ B.Tech (Marine)
Eligibility Criteria for IMU CET Exam - To appear for the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET), candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Educational Qualification for DNS & B.Sc. (Nautical Science): Candidates must have passed 10+2 (PCM) with at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and a minimum of 50% marks in English in either Class 10 or 12.
•For B.Tech (Marine Engineering):Candidates must have passed 10+2 (PCM) with at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and at least 50% in English (in Class 10 or 12).
•For Lateral Entry to B.Tech: Diploma in Marine/Mechanical/Naval Architecture with 60% aggregate marks.
Age Limit
• Minimum age: 17 years
• Maximum age: 25 years at the time of admission
• Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates as per government norms.
Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically fit and meet medical standards specified by the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India.
•Eye-sight Requirements: For Nautical Science/DNS: 6/6 vision in each eye (unaided), no color blindness.
•For Marine Engineering: Eye-sight may vary slightly, but color blindness is not permitted.
